Delicate Cycle at the World's Largest Laundromat, Berwyn, IL

5/5/2018 - 5/6/2018

Delicate Cycle was a 24-hour, 19-person group exhibition at the World's Largest Laundromat, in which works on paper and other ephemeral materials explored the domestic and mundane. As sources of irreverence and devotion, the work here found inspiration in the pervasive and commonplace, rather than the traditionally illuminating.

Works by Min Baek, Grace Bromley, Clarissa Butler, Nicole Chaput, Will Dryden, Cass Fuller, Kat Gu, Madeline Horvath, Rafael Huerta, Sean Leftwich, Caroline Lee Liu, Antonio López, Tyson Reeder, Athena Rodriguez, Tk Suh, Lauren Sullivan, Jenn Smith, Meng Sun, and Carolina Velez Muñiz. Curated and organized by Sean Leftwich.

The World’s Largest Laundromat is a community center and full-service commercial laundromat located in Berwyn, IL. It is the flagship store of the industry, setting precedents in service quality, technology and innovation, and aims to provide an enjoyable community space for patrons and families.
